Detox after Christmas – 3 effective ways to cleanse your body

It takes approx. 2 minutes to read this article

Christmas is a time when many people forget about their daily diet and let themselves get carried away with culinary madness. Unfortunately the effects of holiday overeating can be felt for a long time. How to remedy this? We suggest!

Water with lemon

This seemingly ordinary drink has excellent health properties and works perfectly on your digestive system. Many people forget about the fact that we should drink up to 2.5 liters of fluids every day. Still water with lemon juice not only hydrates your body perfectly but also helps to get rid of excess toxins and restore the acid-alkaline balance. It is best to drink this concoction immediately after waking up in the following proportions: one glass of water and juice squeezed from half a lemon. For better taste, you can additionally add to it a bit of honey or fresh mint leaf. For the effects to be visible, remember to drink it regularly for at least a week

Herbal teas

Herbal teas support digestion and speed up metabolism. In order to quickly regenerate the digestive system after the holidays, it is worth reaching for tea made of nettle, purgatory or thistle, which protects the liver and detoxifies the body. However, when choosing the right tea for you, remember to buy it in reliable places and pay attention to the ingredients it contains. Some herbs may interact with e.g. hormonal contraceptives and various medicines. So if you have any doubts about their use, it is worth consulting your doctor or pharmacist beforehand

Exercise

Admittedly, it is not easy to return to regular physical activity after the holidays, but you can do it in small steps. Even a half-hour walk is enough to oxygenate your body and improve your mood. Moreover, it is worth remembering that just 30 minutes of walking at a moderate pace will help us burn up to 100 excess calories
