Skin discoloration is a fairly common problem. Once you have ruled out the presence of systemic diseases that could have caused them, you can choose from several effective methods to remove them.
Melanin is responsible for the color of the skin, eyes and hair. With its help, the body defends itself against aggressive ultraviolet rays. Melanin absorbs sunlight and protects the skin from UV radiation, preventing it from penetrating deep into the skin. When there is an excessive and uneven concentration of melanin, we are faced with hyperpigmentation and, consequently, hyperpigmentation.
When hyperpigmentation becomes particularly troublesome, and any disease has been ruled out, you can resort to several methods of removing it.
An effective weapon in the fight against hyperpigmentation are vitamin cocktails tailored to the needs of a particular patient. Thanks to vitamin C, which is included in them, the skin takes on a lighter shade. Through micropunctures, the doctor or cosmetologist injects nutrients and amino acids under the skin, for example, pantothenic and nicotinic acid, as well as biotin, magnesium, cobalt and phosphorus. After receiving a series of injections, facial skin tone is significantly improved – melanin synthesis is normalized, and there is no trace of hyperpigmentation.
This is one of the most popular treatments for equalizing facial color. Chemical peels for hyperpigmentation are based mainly on glycolic, retinoic, phytic, lactic and TCA acids. These compounds penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin, exfoliating weakened and dead cells. All types of chemical peels deal with hyperpigmentation, but they work in different ways. Retinoic acid, for example, works faster, but requires a longer recovery period. In contrast, mandelic acid exfoliates gently and gradually, but peels need to be repeated more often.
Phototherapy in the treatment of hyperpigmentation uses intense pulsed light of a certain length, which is absorbed by melanin – a pigment found in excess in areas where the skin is discolored. As a result, the pigment is destroyed and the residual light spreads as heat across the skin, which improves circulation and helps rebuild collagen fibers. The treatment is painless and requires 2-3 repetitions for maximum effect.
Removing hyperpigmentation is as possible at home. What can you use for beautiful skin color? The first reliable remedy is parsley, which has healing properties. Masks made from it are good for all skin types. Chop the parsley, add a tablespoon of cream, a teaspoon of olive oil and five drops of vitamin A. Mix all the ingredients, apply the concoction to cleansed facial skin and wash it off after 15 minutes.
You can also use lemon juice, which is famous for its whitening properties. In addition, lemon contains a large amount of vitamins beneficial to the skin. A lemon mask closes pores, regulates sebum and eliminates blemishes. Mix one tablespoon of lemon juice with a teaspoon of wheat flour. Apply the resulting concoction in a thick layer to your face and cover it with an extra towel. Keep it on for about 30 minutes and then wash it off.
