Mature skin cream is a cosmetic for special purposes. Mature skin is demanding, so we should use a separate day cream and night cream. What ingredients to look for in preparations for mature skin to bring the desired results?

Day cream for mature skin
A day cream for mature skin will protect the skin from the sun and environmental pollution and will moisturize and act as an antioxidant. Choose a day cream with a light texture that absorbs quickly, especially if you intend to put on make-up. What should it contain?
Photoaging of the skin due to sunlight is responsible for most skin damage in the form of wrinkles and discoloration. Vitamin C is necessary for the production of new collagen fibers, which are responsible for skin elasticity. It is also a powerful antioxidant that protects the skin from the effects of aging.
Antioxidants are designed to neutralize free radicals, or reactive oxygen species, which are responsible for accelerated aging. Among the strongest antioxidants used in cosmetics is vitamin E, which also has a strong moisturizing effect and prevents skin roughness. Antioxidants are also plant extracts and extracts, such as green tea. They contain a lot of polyphenols and other active substances, which effectively remove excess free radicals.
Night cream for mature skin
Such a cosmetic usually has a heavier consistency than a day product and a richer composition. Its purpose is to maximize nourishment and regeneration of the skin.
Retinol, or vitamin A is very often called the vitamin of youth. It shows revitalizing, nourishing, regenerating and gently exfoliating effects – depending on its concentration. It is recommended for mature skin, but also for acne, because it soothes inflammatory changes and prevents formation of blackheads.
Instead of retinol in a cream for mature skin at night, you can look for fruit acids. These types of substances, depending on the type and concentration, have a strong exfoliating effect. Fruit acids reduce wrinkles and fine lines, as well as pigmentation changes – post-sun, post-inflammatory and acne. They have a strong moisturizing and regenerating effect, refresh the skin and even out its color. The most popular fruit acids include mandelic acid, glycolic acid, azelaic acid and lactic acid.
Ceramides are natural components of skin lipids, which are important binders filling intercellular gaps in the horny layer of the epidermis. They protect against water loss and improve its absorption, thus ensuring optimal hydration of the skin. They also support correct rebuilding of epidermis weakened by external factors.
